Bike Alert Hellas B2B eCommerce Case Study

From Friction to Full Throttle

A Few Words

Bike Alert Hellas B2B eCommerce platform is where professional buyers across Greece source parts daily, but the platform itself hadn’t kept pace with the brand behind it. They came to us to rebuild it from the ground up.

The Goal

Redesigning the Bike Alert Hellas B2B platform meant balancing the needs and expectations of a demanding audience with enterprise-scale reliability. We rebuilt the experience on a flexible, reusable component system, cleared the structural bottlenecks holding customers back, and elevated the visual experience to match the global market authority of the brand.

The Challenge

The legacy platform suffered from 3 compounding friction points, each directly impacting the bottom line:

  • Underselling the Brand’s Credibility
Bike Alert Hellas supplies 80% of the country’s motorcycle workshops, yet this industry weight was not reflected in their daily ordering platform. The dated, generic and cluttered storefront severely undersold a market leader of this scale. For B2B buyers evaluating suppliers, the platform itself is part of the sales pitch.
  • Friction in Product Findability
The site’s navigation, categorization and search functionality were so convoluted that professional buyers, who needed specific parts immediately, struggled to locate them. For an enterprise-scale catalog, poor findability means wasted time for the buyer and a lost order for the business.
  • Absence of Critical B2B Functionality
The old platform lacked critical capabilities like multi-level filtering, structured fitment data, OEM cross-referencing, and automated alerting systems. Without these essential tools, buyers were forced to guess, call support, or simply abandon their carts.

A browser window showing the Bike Alert Hellas product detail page for a JT Sprockets rear sprocket, with product specifications, pricing, teeth and color selectors, and an Add to Cart button.

The Solution

We ran multiple stakeholder workshops and gathered front-line insights from Customer Support. Then we paired these with a deep analytics review and a competitive analysis of global benchmarks like Parts Europe and Bihr. The brief was clear: the legacy platform was actively working against the people trying to use it. We rebuilt it from the ground up as a unified, intuitive system.

1. Foundations & Scalability

  • Predictable Architecture
Built a clean information architecture and content hierarchy focused on flawless technical specs and fitment notes.
  • Design System
Developed a scalable design system to reduce cognitive load and ensure consistent component behavior across every single page.

2. Advanced Search & Discovery

  • The “Garage” & Filtering
Expanded vehicle search into three distinct flows: guided filters, direct elastic search, and a personalized, saved “Garage.”
  • OEM Cross-Referencing
Deepened parts lookup and fitment guidance to give wholesale buyers absolute purchasing certainty.

3. Heavy-Duty B2B Tooling
To maximize workflow efficiency for fast-paced workshops, we engineered complex transactional features entirely missing from the old platform:

  • Bulk Ordering
Wholesale buyers can bulk-upload entire orders via files.
  • Smart Cart Management
Support for managing multiple parallel carts for different procurement needs.
  • Split Shipments
Orders can be split between in-stock and backordered items with real-time, method-specific shipping availability.
  • Smart Logistics
Automated alerts for applicable promotions and flexible options like in-store pickup.

All of the above, wrapped in a premium visual identity that reflects the brand’s market authority as a leading regional distributor.

Two mobile screens side by side: the Featured Categories section with shock absorbers, protection sliders, and a Bando brand banner, and a vehicle-based category selection screen showing icons for accessories, batteries, braking, and other part types.
Two mobile screens side by side: the order upload and quick-add-by-part-number tools with an active promo banner, and an order summary screen showing item count, totals, VAT, and a backorder item ready to ship.

Project Outcome

Three months post-launch, the metrics proved that bridging the gap between brand authority and intentional UX shifts business reality.

  • Increase in completed online orders

    +60%

  • Growth in turnover from online orders

    +39%

  • B2B customers actively using the platform

    +15%

  • Shift from email/phone orders to online

    +5%

This is what happens when a digital product stops being a transactional afterthought and becomes a core component of the brand experience. By reducing cognitive load and replacing guesswork with operational certainty, the redesign proved that B2B workflows can be complex without being complicated. Bike Alert Hellas built its market reputation on credibility and innovation. The redesigned B2B eCommerce platform delivers on that exact same promise.

We are proud of our work and humbled by the recognition.
